...divorce, alimony

  • Looks like the marriage of J Lo and Marc Anthony is over. This might be one of the rare divorce cases where the wife is worth more than the husband. Do you think she’ll end up paying alimony? Don’t hold your breath.
  • The beginnings of a grassroots alimony reform effort in South Carolina?
  • Florida alimony law is tightening up. Unfortunately alimony still exists, including permanent alimony.
  • Congratulations to the British woman who just became the most expensive whore in the history of the UK.

...technology

  • The designer of Grindr, the popular gay dating app, is about to launch a new project targeting straight people, called Amicus. Looks like it’s going to be more about making friends and less about casual sex than Grindr. Darn.
  • A new NYC dating site called Cheek’d lets you give people a business card with a link to an online dating site where they can interact with you. Um, ok, but if I’m going to approach someone, why don’t I just talk to them right then and there?
  • AreYouInterested?, the mobile dating iPhone app just got a bunch of upgrades. I checked it out, and it still sucks in my area.
  • Another internet dating service is blurring the line between prostitution and dating... if there ever really was one.
